Boni, standing to the left of Bishop Julius

Boni Sagi, a staff of the Center of Indonesian Migrant Workers (CIMW) based in Jakarta, Indonesia paid a courtesy call to Bishop Julius Dusin Gitom DD, Tuesday 11th August 2009 at the Diocesan Office, Church Hill Road Sandakan.

A brief discussion was held between them, concerning matters with working and living conditions of the Timorese Community. They also touched on issues pertaining to pastoral care extended to the community by the local Church. He will be holding talks, gathering feed backs and conducting field visits to the Timorese Community in the Diocese.

Boni Sagi, a Timorese who hails from Flores arrived here from Jakarta on 8th August 2009. He was with the Timorese Community in St Mary’s Parish, Sandakan for the past two days. He will leave for St Dominic’s Parish, Lahad Datu tomorrow and will remain there till the 16th August 2009. He will then proceed to Holy Trinity’s Parish, Tawau till the 20th August 2009.
