Tawau : Some 40 members of the  Catholic Women’s Apostolate of Holy Trinity Parish Tawau gathered at the Parish Canteen on Saturday, 17th September 2011 to celebrate its 39th anniversary.

The event began with a  half day recollection facilitated by Sr. Liza fsic on Saturday morning. She talked on ‘discipleship and ministry’, a process of deepening one’s faith, necessary for strengthening our relationship with the Lord and our common call to service.

Members were placed in small groups to reflect on their journey and service to the church.  They shared on the joys, sorrows and hopes of their community. They also brain-stormed on the way forward to build a better and stronger grouping which will provide more effective and efficient service to the Parish. They also shared on the call to be ‘priestly, prophetic and kingly people’ and family as ‘domestic church’.
In the evening, Msgr Nicholas Ong, rector of Holy Trinity Parish presided over the Thanksgiving Mass where the new line up headed by Mary Stella and her committee took their pledge.
After the Holy Mass, members adjourned to the Parish Canteen for a dinner fellowship. Also in attendance were Fr Nicholas, Mario Domingo, the new PPC Chairman and past CWA office bearers.

Mario, the PPC Chairman in his address called on the members to pray always for one another, for their families and other communities. He said serving God is serving others and connects us to those we serve.
Mdm. Mary Stella the newly elected chairlady for the term of 2011 – 2013, thanked all members for their confidence in her to lead the CWA of Holy Trinity Parish Tawau. She called for unity and closer cooperation among members to journey together and bear fruit for the Glory of the Lord.
Msgr Nicholas thanked the members for their continuous and dedicated service to the Church. Oftentimes their service might go unnoticed and unknown but they are the humble great builders of God’s Kingdom. He urged them to continue serving with greater love and humility.
