Tawau: On the 1st of September 2024, the Catholic Student Association (CSA) organized the CSA Mass followed by their fellowship. The objectives of the event are to create a strong connection with all Catholic students in Tawau, create harmony among all Catholic students in Tawau and to bring forth more quality in the people not only the organizers but also the participants; namely the students themselves.
The event was celebrated with a Mass in Bahasa Malaysia at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Tawau at 10 am. Immediately after the end of the mass, a fellowship took place in the Parish Hall at 12 noon. The program involved 142 students, including 19 CSA members from 23 schools, serving the church as wardens, choir, readers and more.
After the mass, all students gathered in the Parish Hall to continue the program. The guests who attended the event were Rev. Fr. David Garaman, Fr. Dafrinn Diwol, Mr. Steven J Sagunting (PPC Chairman), Ms. Jessielyn Monton (PPC Member), Ms. Elisha Edward de Los Santos (Coordinator of the PYA), Mr. Premus Takom and Ms. MarySalva Catubig Benitez-Takom. The fellowship began with a speech by PPC Chairman, Mr. Steven J. Sagunting, who expresses his praise towards the CSA members for making the event successful. After his speech, our Rev. Fr. David also expressed his praise but added that he would like see the next mass participation of teachers in CSA as they are part of the CSA family.
